Topline Limited introduced the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (Drone) to its line of services. This innovation enables the visual production of real-time imagery of pipeline/assets at the work station.
This service provides clients with the following:
- Upstream – Pipeline Inspection, Survey & Mapping, Security and Emergency Response.
- Midstream – ROW survey, Mapping, Pipeline Inspection, Leak Detection, Aerial Visual Inspection, Corrosion Monitoring, Work Progress at Remote Areas, Heat Signature Recording.
- Downstream – Piping Inspection, Leak Detection, Corrosion Monitoring, Emergency Response, Asset Surveillance.
Our fixed-wing Drones have the capacity to conduct long-range inspections at 80km. We provide true end-to-end solutions, from flight planning and aerial imagery capture to advanced data processing and propriety analytics enabling our clients to get the most value out of their data.
Our operations are conducted alongside our technical partner with the required aviation and security certifications from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, and the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA.
We have a dedicated team of trained and certified UAV pilots, remote sensing specialists, GIS analysts, and Survey Professionals.
DRONE PLATFORMS
DT26X (FIXED – WING UAV)
- Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) Discreet
- Day & Night Routine Surveillance and monitoring of Oil & Gas Pipeline benefits of up to 30 km communication range (250m = 820.21ft AGL) with 135 mins endurance
- 1800EO human detection distance with 8min deployment time & speed of 57km/h
- Unrivaled image quality with on-board stabilization video tracking, movement detection, human recognition at a distance of more than 1.5km, both day & night.
- Rugged Field-proven in the harshest condition (desert, rocks, mountain, tropical forest, etc.) capable of landing on any type of ground.
Perimeter 8 (Rotary –Wing UAV)
- Best UAV for Inspection purpose
- 5 hours endurance time with a cruise speed of 35km/h
- Deployment time of 5mins
- Communication range of 45km and can hover for at least 4 hours to capture data and take videos.
- Used for visual inspection of storage tanks, an inspection of the integrity of safety railings & stairs on the chimney, flair stacks, and tanks before crew do maintenance work minimizing the need for rope access and scaffolding to identify cracks & anomalies.
BENEFITS OF DRONE TECHNOLOGY OVER TRADITIONAL METHOD OF MONITORING, SURVEILLANCE, AND INSPECTION
- Cost Efficiency- Drones minimizes the high cost and time required to erect ladders, access towers, swing stages, aerial lifts, and other heavy equipment. Paying for insurance using drones is lower.
- Faster Result- An operator can launch a drone within a very short time upon request and this makes drone-based inspection suitable for both regular and emergency situations.
- Flexible and easily shareable data- Drone can take photos, capture videos, take thermal images, transmit data, and other functions that enable them to collect and share information that would take days using conventional means.
- Risk Minimization- It eliminates the need for workers to physically access hostile environments where factors such as height, the wind, weather, and radiation can lead to accidents or health issues.
- Collection of in-depth data – The drone ability to fly very close to the structure allows it to capture minute details, take high-quality photos or videos that clearly show cracks, damage, misplace wires, and other defects.
