Topline Limited executed the complete cleaning, gauging, and intelligent pigging of the 10-inch, 18.5-kilometer crude export pipeline running from Oredo to Ogharefe. The project was undertaken to ensure internal cleanliness, verify pipeline geometry, and assess the overall integrity of the asset for continued safe and efficient operations.

Scope of Work
The operation was structured into three key phases:

Pipeline Cleaning and Gauging
A multi-stage pigging sequence was deployed to remove wax build-up, debris, and fluid residues. Specialized foam and steel brush pigs were used to restore optimum flow conditions, while a gauging pig verified internal bore continuity and detected potential obstructions or dents.
Intelligent Pigging (ILI)
A high-resolution MFL (Magnetic Flux Leakage) intelligent pig was run to capture comprehensive data on internal corrosion, metal loss, and wall thickness anomalies. The tool was calibrated to suit the pipeline’s operational conditions and profile, ensuring accurate and reliable defect detection.
Data Acquisition and Reporting
Post-run data was retrieved and analyzed by certified ILI analysts. A detailed integrity report was submitted to the client, outlining actionable insights and recommended interventions based on the findings.

Outcome
The pipeline was successfully cleaned, inspected, and confirmed fit-for-service. The intelligent pigging operation provided critical diagnostic data that allowed the asset owner to make informed integrity decisions and comply with pipeline safety and regulatory requirements. The project was delivered safely, within schedule, and without environmental incidents.
