The auxiliary routine pigging and pumping project is critical for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the 18" pipeline running from Assa to Rumekpe. The primary objective is to remove debris, scale, and prevent the formation of corrosion within the pipeline. This process is essential to ensure the pipeline operates optimally, preventing any potential blockages or damage that could disrupt the flow.
The project begins with the use of an industrial borehole to pump water into a holding tank. This water is then injected into the pipeline using a multi-stage pump. The process involves two 4-inch hoses connected to a hookup flange on the pig launcher, ensuring a consistent and thorough cleaning. The pigging process involves sending a device known as a "pig" through the pipeline to clean the interior surfaces physically. This helps in removing built-up debris and scale that could otherwise lead to corrosion and efficiency losses.
Topline Limited’s team of experts meticulously manages each stage of the pigging and pumping process. Safety and efficiency are our top priorities, ensuring that the pipeline remains in peak condition without any interruptions. The advanced techniques and equipment used in this project reflect our commitment to maintaining high standards in pipeline maintenance and operation. This thorough and detailed approach not only extends the life of the pipeline but also ensures that it continues to operate safely and effectively for years to come.
